Free Meeting Transcriber
I wanted a meeting notetaker that would transcribe locally, keep my notes in ordinary files, and stay out of the way. Free Meeting Transcriber is the result.
It records your microphone and system audio without sending a bot into the call. It’s free as in beer 🍺: there is no account, subscription, cloud backend, or telemetry. Your vault stays on your Mac and remains useful outside the app. If you want generated summaries, connect your own hosted provider or a local model.
